Charlee's Driving School
When I first began helping a family member with what would eventually become my business, I never imagined it would turn into something I’d be doing for the next 22 years. What started as a simple job grew into a fulfilling career, and over the years, my family and I have always prioritized giving back to our community—whether through sports sponsorships or quietly supporting families in need.
The safety of my students has always been my top priority. I have never rushed a class just to finish quickly, and I will always stand by that principle, proud of what we’ve accomplished as a business.
However, life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way. In January, I, along with two of my students, were involved in an accident. While this event was beyond my control, it had a significant impact on both me personally and my business. I took time to process and navigate the situation, but the reactions and actions of some in the aftermath led me to reassess my next steps.
I am fully committed to all the students who have registered for classes in 2025. However, after careful consideration, I’ve decided to retire at the end of this year. This is not an easy decision, but it is the right one for me moving forward.
I am truly grateful for the years spent serving this community and for everyone who has been part of this journey. It’s been a privilege to teach so many incredible individuals—many of whom are now adults—and I look forward to what the future holds.
